Completed in early 2018 by Woodburn Engineering of Carrickfergus.
The bridge blends into the surrounding buildings and Pump House, an aesthetic entrance route across the HMS Caroline Dock for visitors.
It is fully compliant with CE Marking Execution Class 3 Certification.

Fabricated and constructed from box section truss frames, it is of elegant arched and curved design weighing 18 tons 25 metres long and 5 metres at its widest point. The bridge has a full protective coating against the corrosive marine atmosphere and a sustainable hardwood deck with non-slip insertion strips. For safety purposes the side panelling is enclosed with Web Net.
Extreme care had to be taken in erection of the bridge with thorough examination of the dockside made to enable crane access and weight compliance. The abutments were designed and fabricated to accommodate the attachment to the original heritage granite block construction of the dockside.
