Repair Works Commence At Wexford Quays

Wexford County Council has commenced repairs to a deteriorating decking area at Wexford Quayfront.

A portion of the quay walkway between Wexford Bridge and Custom House Quay is being repaired. The wooden decking and supporting timbers in this area are being removed, to be replaced with a tarmac base. The base will then be overlaid with a resin-bonded stone chip surface.

The resin-bonded surface is weather resistant.

Some of the timber removed from the area will be used to repair other sections of the boardwalk.
