A project milestone has been reached on the £31.2 million A737 Dalry Bypass in Scotland.
Irish contracting joint venture (JV), Farrans Roadbridge, have launched the first of two phases of the bridge over the River Garnock.
The nine-hour launch operation involved pulling a 650T double girder from the assembly area over the River Garnock towards the Glasgow/Ayr railway line.
Roadbridge said the work represents "another significant milestone" on the project and work is progressing on the scheme, with completion scheduled for the end of next year.
