Dungannon-based construction company Western Building Systems has been appointed to Fusion21's £400 million Modular Building Framework.

Those eligible for the framework will now be able to utilise Western's significant experience in the delivery of both temporary or permanent buildings within the health, leisure and education sectors. All buildings within the framework are designed to be compliant with building regulations and present lower carbon emissions than traditional builds.

This appointment comes as the framework has recently completed a £175m expansion.

Nick Verburg, Procurement and Supply Chain Manager at Fusion21 said: "Modular off-site construction is an innovative and cost-effective way to deliver buildings for the 21st century, and we are delighted to have expanded this flexible procurement solution in response to market demand and member feedback."
