Work on a £255,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme in Ballynahinch, Co Down, is to begin on Monday, 22 October.
The resurfacing work on the A49 Magheraknock road will extend a distance of approximately 1.25 kilometres from its junction with the Langley Estate, Ballynahinch towards Lisburn.
Due to the nature of the scheme a daily weekday road closure will be put in place between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm from 22 October until Friday 23 November 2018. During these times a diversion will be in place with traffic will be diverted via Magheraknock Road/Old Ballynahinch Road, Saintfield Road, Carryduff Road/Belfast Road/Main Street, Harmony Road/Windmill Street, High Street and Lisburn Street.
The road will be open to traffic in the evenings during the week and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Work is expected to be completed by 23 November 2018.
