The contractor will replace 800m of ageing water mains with heavy plastic pipes.
The project will get underway on 29 October and is expected to be completed by the end of November 2018.
The works are part of Irish Water's National Leakage Reduction Programme which will reduce the high level of leakage across the country by fixing or replacing ageing water mains over the next four years.

Work will take place on two local roads located west of the N15 at Mullaghnaneane Cross Roads and at Attiduff and Ardtrasna townlands. They will also involve laying new water service connections from the public water main in the road to customers' property boundaries and connecting it to the customers' water supply.
Irish Water's Dave Murphy said: "The leakage reduction works will reduce the instances of bursts and water outages and will ensure a reliable supply of water to customers and local businesses in the area. The works will also eliminate existing leaks and reduce the amount of clean drinking water lost into the ground. Areas of work will be limited to short sections to minimise impact on customers."
