NI Water is celebrating a successful Supplier Engagement Event, with more than 260 representatives turning out.
The event took place at the Dunadry Hotel on Wednesday 24 October.
Organised in partnership with InterTradeIreland, it was scheduled to help support the utility's target to release contracts worth a total £250 million in the next 18 months.
A number of topics were discussed at the event, including a focus on:
• Mobile Work Management
• Water and Waste Residuals
• Networks Maintenance.
Jane Mellor, Head of Operational Procurement, said: "It was extremely rewarding to see the range of businesses represented at the event. They took full advantage of the opportunities to meet NI Water procurement teams, contractors and representatives from InterTradeIreland and InvestNI.
"The event also afforded many smaller businesses networking opportunities and training sessions giving insights into various aspects of procurement processes.
"With the support of InterTradeIreland, what started out as a small event in NI Water's Antrim Training Centre a few years ago has grown to a major engagement day which will hopefully bring major benefits to businesses and the local economy."
