Plans have been put on hold for a new £30m hotel beside Portrush Golf Club.
Developers stalled the planning application for the Dunluce Resort and Spa as a result of "community feedback".
The original planning application submitted to Causeway Coast and Glens Council was met with numerous objections, many of which related to the visual impact of a new hotel complex.
The development was a 115-bedroom hotel and apartment project funded by Texas-based company ARC.
North Coast Ventures will unveil a new set of plans for the hotel next year.
Gavin Boyd, director of North Coast Ventures Limited said: "We have listened to the local community and the feedback we have received during the consultation process.
"We still firmly believe that the north coast is an area which needs higher quality accommodation and a greater number of hotel rooms."
