Green Light For Proposed Emily Square Development In Athy

Plans have been approved to develop Emily Square in Athy, Co Kildare, into a new multifunctional space for locals.

The Athy Municipal District green lit the proposal at its meeting on Monday 19 November.

The redeveloped square will create a more accessible, de-cluttered and attractive space with improved pedestrian access and safety.

The detailed design will now be drawn up with construction to coincide with the delivery of the Athy Southern Distributor Road.
