Further applications are being welcomed for Monaghan County Council's Local Improvement Scheme (LIS).
The LIS supports the improvement of non-public rural roads which provide access to homes and farms, as well as amenities such as lakes and rivers.
To qualify, the road must provide access to parcels of land, of which at least two are owned or occupied by different persons engaged in separate agricultural activities or must provide access for harvesting purposes for two or more persons. There must be a minimum of one occupied dwelling on the road.
New applicants will be placed on a waiting list and funded as resources allow.
Monaghan County Council has warned that due to high demand, it may take years before all applications made under this call are funded.
The closing date for applications is Monday 31 December 2018 at 5pm.
