Quinn Automatic has been appointed to deliver £260,000 upgrades to an existing play area in Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone.
The company will install new equipment and seating, as well as landscaping works, at the Ballylurgan Road playpark. Resurfacing, drainage and environmental works will also take place at the Market Yard.
Chair of Mid Ulster District Council, Councillor Sean McPeake, said: "The award of this contract to enhance a play park and to make environmental improvements across the village is the latest project to be delivered as part of the overall village renewal funding programme.
"This on-going investment is making a difference across Mid Ulster and now also in Fivemiletown."
The Mid Ulster Rural Development Partnership (Local Action Group) is funding 75% of the project, with the remainder coming from the Council.
Chair of Mid Ulster Rural Development Partnership, Councillor Sean Clarke, added: "Through funding from the NI Rural Development Programme, Mid Ulster Rural Development Partnership will be making available £2.15m for capital investment to complete a range of projects across the Mid Ulster District Council area under the Village Renewal Scheme.
"The partnership approach of the local Council working closely with local communities is the model which brings most benefit to delivering actions identified in the village plans."
Work will begin on the project in early 2019 and is scheduled for completion by March.
