Newry Canal Towpath Embankment To Be Restored

Work is due to commence to restore the embankment along the Newry Canal Towpath at Moneypenny's Lock.

Starting on Monday 07 January, the project will involve work to repair damage caused by natural erosion and subsidence. It will help increase safety in the area.

The towpath and access to Moneypenny's Lock House and Bothy will be closed to facilitate the work.

Work is expected to be completed within four weeks.
