Ward & Burke To Replace Ageing Water Mains In Co Wicklow

Ward and Burke Construction is to commence work to replace ageing water mains in Arklow, Co Wicklow.

The work will take place along the Sea Road (R750), from the junction with Ferrybank to the Cluain Árd junction.

Approximately 2700 metres of old mains will be replaced with new plastic pipes.

When complete, the project will ensure a more secure water supply for customers in the Sea Road, Beresford Terrace, Wicklow Terrace, Worsborough Terrace, Seaview Avenue and Clogg Lane areas.

It is being carried out on behalf of Irish Water and Wicklow County Council as part of the utility's National Leakage Reduction Programme.

The work is scheduled for completion in June 2019.
