DfI Announces Harbour Commissioner Extensions

The current Chairs of the Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners and the Belfast Harbour Commissioners have had their roles extended.

The Department for Infrastructure made the announcement yesterday, 07 January.

Ms Bonnie Anley, Londonderry Chair, and Dr David Dobbin, Belfast Chair, now have contracts running until 31 December 2019.

As commissioners, they have responsibility, under a series of Harbour Acts and Orders, for developing, maintaining and operating their respective ports to the highest standards of efficiency, financial prudence, environmental awareness, safety and security to the benefit of all stakeholders.

These extensions have been made in accordance with the Commissioner for Public Appointments for Northern Ireland's Code of Practice.
