A water main has burst in Co Meath, impacting the supply for residents in the Ardcath, Clonalvy and surrounding areas.
Irish Water's crew identified the location of the incident and have dispatched a crew to repair the main.
The work is expected to be completed early this afternoon, 17 January.
Water will begin to be restored shortly after the work is carried out, but full water service may take some time to return as the network refills.
Bottled water is being provided to schools impacted by the burst.
Irish Water has apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers.
