Raise The Roof Hosts Conference In Dublin

Raise the Roof is hosting a conference in Dublin today, 30 January, focusing on securing a legal right to housing.

The conference will also highlight the need for increased investment in a major programme of public housing.

It is taking place in the CWU Conference Centre, North Circular Road, from 9.30am to 1.30pm.

Congress General Secretary Patricia King will open the event, with Congress President, Sheila Nunan delivering the closing address.

Some of the keynote speakers at the event include: Mel Reynolds; Assistant Professor Orla Hegarty; Brendan Kenny (Dublin City Council); John O'Connor (Housing Agency); Professor Tony Fahey; Tanya Ward (Children's Rights Alliance); Siona Cahill (USI); Rebecca Keatinge (Mercy Law Resource Centre); Fergus Finlay (Home for Good).
