Mayo County Council has launched a new fleet of electric vehicles.
Two new Citroen Berlingos will replace old petrol and diesel vehicles, supporting the council's commitment to go green.
There are two charging points in front of Aras an Chontae, available to Mayo County Council and the General Public. Plans have also been put in place in place to install more charging points.
Each vehicle can cover up to 170 kilometres on a full charge. The vehicles can take up to 30 minutes to charge 80 per cent of their batteries at fast charge points or eight hours at regular charge points.
Mayo County Council hopes to bring more EVs to the region in the future.
