A burst water main on Avenue Road in Dundalk has been successfully repaired by an Irish Water and Louth County Council project team.
The burst disrupted water supply for locals in the Seafield Lawns, Mourne Vale, Medebawn, Meadow View, Belfry Avenue and Belfry Drive, Avondale Park, Silveroe Crescent and surrounding areas.
A traffic management plan was implemented on Friday 01 February for the crew to complete the repairs.
The normal water supply has been restored, but full supply may take longer to return as water refills the network.
