MEIC is to begin construction work on a 16-home development in Patrickswell, County Limerick.
The project is being delivered on a council-owned site at Lisheen Park in the village.
The homes will comprise of one to two storeys with two or more bedrooms.
The contractor is also completing a new site access road from Lisheen Park, as well as additional car parking spaces and an improvement to existing footpaths. New street lighting will also be installed, along with soft landscaping works.
It is expected to take approximately 10 months to complete.
The development forms part of the council's plans for additional housing in Limerick under the government's overall Rebuilding Ireland project.
