Northern Ireland construction group H&J Martin has secured a prestigious accreditation relating to surveying for asbestos.
The firm's Compliance Department achieved the UKAS accreditation ISO/IEC 17020:2012 – Inspection Bodies Accreditation for Surveying for Asbestos in Premises. They worked alongside the HSQE team to achieve the accreditation.
UKAS auditors carried out a quality surveillance and a competence surveillance on the company.
The accreditation relates to surveying for asbestos in premises including –
• Management Survey: (domestic and commercial premises)
• Refurbishment and Demolition Survey: (domestic and commercial premises)
• Reinspection of identified or suspected asbestos containing material in surveyed premises.
This adds to the company's UKATA accredited training services in Asbestos Awareness, Non-Licensed Removal of Asbestos Inc. NNLW as well as conducting Qualitative Face Fitting Tests for P3 filtered half mask respirators.
