H & J Martin Achieves UKAS Accreditation ISO/IEC 17020:2012

H&J Martin has announced its Compliance Department has achieved the UKAS accreditation ISO/IEC 17020:2012 – Inspection Bodies Accreditation for Surveying for Asbestos in Premises.

The firms Compliance team in conjunction with its HSQE team worked to achieve the industry recognised accreditation. The process of achieving the accreditation involved both a quality surveillance and a competence surveillance.

A spokesperson form the firm said: "This accreditation underpins the quality performance and technical competence that our compliance team have been working to from the outset. Our clients can be confident we are working in compliance with the accredited standards and delivering a high-quality service in the management of asbestos in their premises."

The accreditation relates to surveying for asbestos in premises to include:

• Management Survey: (domestic and commercial premises)

• Refurbishment and Demolition Survey: (domestic and commercial premises)

• Reinspection of identified or suspected asbestos containing material in surveyed premises.

The UKAS accreditation is in addition is in addition to our UKATA accredited training services in Asbestos Awareness, Non-Licensed Removal of Asbestos Inc. NNLW as well as conducting Qualitative Face Fitting Tests for P3 filtered half mask respirators.
