Coffey Northumbrian is progressing water mains works in Maulyregan, Co Cork, as part of Irish Water's national Leakage Reduction Programme.
The project involves replacing 1.6 kilometres of ageing water mains with modern, high density polyethylene (plastic) pipes. This will take place along the public road from Reenascreena School, through Maulyregan crossroad and continuing on the L4001 road.
Work commenced on 11 March and is expected to be completed within nine weeks.
Irish Water's leakage programme will then continue with mains renewals in Froe and Foxhall/Cahermore. These projects are expected to begin in April and May respectively.
