A new climate action teaching resource has been introduced for all post-primary schools across Ireland.
Announced by Environment Minister Richard Bruton today, 27 March, the resource provides teachers with lesson plans, presentations, surveys and data to learn and discuss climate action.
Minister Bruton said: "This is an area where we need to step up our response. Young people have shown their interest and their passion. We need to make sure that the curriculum is there so that they can learn in a more structured way."
The resource was developed by the Green Schools team, with hopes it will help not only Geography teachers, but also those who teach C.S.P.E., Science and English.
Green-Schools Manager, Cathy Baxter added: "Green-Schools thanks all the teachers that have worked so hard on this programme over so many years. We hope resources like this can provide some support to them in their critical work with students."
