A series of water mains upgrades are underway in the Ardpatrick area of Limerick.
The Irish Water scheme will see 5.4km of old water mains replaced with modern, high density polyethylene (plastic) pipes along the R512 between Ballingaddy Catholic Church and St Patricks Church.
The works will lead to a more secure and reliable water supply in the area with less leakage.
Shareridge is delivering the work across a 10-week schedule as part of Irish Water's national Leakage Reduction Programme.
Traffic management will be implemented throughout the project.
