Work is set to begin to replace ageing water mains in two areas of County Donegal.
The works in Letterkenny and Ballybofey will improve water supply and reduce high levels of leakage to benefit local residents and businesses.
A total of over 2.3 kilometres of mains will be replaced with modern, high density polyethelene pipes on the Golf Course Road, Letterkenny and Trusk Road, Ballybofey.
Farrans is delivering the work on behalf of Irish Water and Donegal County Council.
The works are part of Irish Water's National Leakage Reduction Programme which will reduce the high level of leakage across the country by fixing or replacing ageing water mains following a €500 million investment between 2017 and 2021.
