Northern Ireland contractor Henry Brothers has won a national award for its work on the new £52 security wing at HMP Maghaberry in County Antrim.
The firm, who serves as Design and Build contractor for the project, won the 'Risk – reduction through design' Award for 2018 sponsored by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF).
This National Award was presented to SHEQ Director David Wallace at the CIEHF annual dinner in England and is in recognition of how design-led changes reduced the risks of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) on the Davis House Project.
The new wing at HMP Maghaberry is expected to open before the end of the year.
