FP McCann has completed a £1 million scheme in Lisburn, which has seen the risk of flooding damage reduced on the main Belfast to Dublin railway line.
As well as protecting the infrastructure of the railway line, the flood prevention scheme also helped safeguard three commercial properties in the area.
The scheme, which took approximately eight months to complete, involved the construction of a new 150m long precast concrete box culvert, a new 290m long in-situ concrete flood retaining wall (average height above ground 1.8m), and other work items.
FP McCann developed and designed the project in-house.
