Newry Route To Close For Resurfacing

A city centre road in Newry is set to close for resurfacing work next week.

Work will begin on Stream Street on Monday 17 June, and run until Friday 05 July.

This £95,000 scheme will see the surface improved from the Stream Street junction with Cowan Street to the junction with Church Street. The footpaths adjacent to the residential homes in Stream Street will be included in the resurfacing programme.

A daily weekday road closure will be in place between 9am and 4.30pm during the works.

A diversion will be implemented via Cowan Street and Church Street and vice versa to facilitate traffic.

Drivers should expect some delays and are advised to leave additional time when planning any journeys.
