Antrim Business Secures Exclusive International Contract

County Antrim firm Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) has secured an exclusive international contract in America.

The company will supply its street furniture and solar products to Desert Sky Park in Gilbert, Arizona.

Speaking about ESF's success, Managing Director, Alan Lowry said: "ESF are delighted to have secured this contract on the first phase of this new prestigious development in partnership with Gilbert council. Our Stellar Solar bench offers 'smart city' technology at an affordable price and can be themed to meet design criteria. We would not have had this opportunity if it wasn't for the fantastic and ongoing support from the Council and their economic development team."

Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council helped support the deal during a trade visit to Gilbert late last year.

Chief Executive of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, Jacqui Dixon added: "This impressive export success by ESF highlights the importance of our sister cities link with Gilbert and the Greater Phoenix area in Arizona. This represents a significant part of our economic development strategy and we will continue to explore any opportunities and benefits that arise from this relationship which has been developed over 20 years through an ongoing series of outward and inward visits."

Gilbert's Desert Sky Park is set to open in September.
