Road works are set to take place in Ballynahinch, Co Down, starting next week.

This £140,000 scheme will see a 0.75km section of the Burren Road improved from its junction with Ballymacarn Road to the junction with Dromore Road.

Work will start on Monday 22 July, with completion scheduled for Friday 23 August.

The Department for Infrastructure is implementing a daily weekday road closure between 8am and 6pm throughout the works.

During these times a diversion will be in place with traffic being diverted via the Dromore Road.

Local access for residents will be maintained at all times.  

Drivers should expect some delays and are advised to leave additional time when planning any journeys.
