Lisburn-based Charlesworth Engineering has invested in new state-of-the art machinery after securing a number of new orders.

The orders come on the back of a successful Buyer Engagement Event held by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council earlier this year.

Securing orders from international firm Ryobi and local company Camlin, Charlesworth had to invest in new Water Jet CNC machinery to enable additional production capabilities and secure further deals for business expansion and growth.

Managing Director of Charlesworth Engineering, Roy Charlesworth, commented: "As a company, we not only invest in machinery, but also invest in our workforce; working with new apprentices to be next generation of engineers. The nine-strong team, including apprenticeship opportunities, is also set to expand, with plans in place to add three more staff and an additional apprentice.

Charlesworth Engineering designs, fabricates and supplies a wide range of materials across industries.

The firm works closely with Alan Lowry from Environmental Street Furniture, exporting stainless steel bollards to Dubai and providing planters to University of Ulster. The company has also been a long standing supplier of stainless steel process pipe work to Coca-Cola HBC, and has recently sealed a deal to provide a turn-key solution for a new plant for Classic Mineral Water in Lurgan.
