Emergency Homeless Accommodation Delivered In Kilkenny

Kilkenny's renowned emergency homeless accommodation at The Good Shepherd Centre has been boosted with more apartments.

The centre is now able to accommodate more couples in 12 new short term emergency accommodation apartments. This project was delivered with funding from Rebuilding Ireland.

Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy recently visited the site to see first hand the services and accommodation available there.

During the visit, Kilkenny County Council's Director of Services, Mary Mulholland acknowledged the importance of the Rebuilding Ireland Programme in funding homeless accommodation solutions and also the significant contribution that the Good Shepherd Centre makes to dealing with homelessness in Kilkenny.

The Council has pledged its continued support to provide homeless services across the region.
