Road Schemes Announced In Tyrone Village

Road works are set to take place in the County Tyrone village of Sion Mills starting next week.

Two schemes, totalling £448,000, will be carried out on the A50 Melmount Road from Monday 19 August until Friday 27 September.

They will be carried out simultaneously, with the first extending from Marshall's Row to Beech Park and the second running from Seein Road to close to The Linen Green.

In total, the schemes will improve 600 metres of the surface.

Work will be carried out between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Saturday.

Lane restrictions will be in place for the majority of the work, with a full road closure needed for the final resurfacing.

The Department for Infrastructure has warned drivers to expect some delays and urged them to allow additional time when planning any journeys.
