Irish contractor John Sisk & Son has acquired Galway-based manufacturer Vision Built Group.

Vision Built manufactures 2D Light Gauge Steel panels in a factory in Galway for supply to its customer base in both Ireland and the UK.

As part of the acquisition, Sisk will retain all of the existing 32 staff with founder Gerry McCarthy also staying on board to drive Product Development.

Fergal Lalor will serve as Managing Director of the business.

This acquisition will also support the growth in Sisk's own demand for Light Gauge Steel.

Off-site fabrication will become an increasingly important element of Sisk contracting delivery with benefits flowing from a vertical integration of Vision Built into their supply chain.
