Road Works Announced In Co Down Village

A key road in the County Down village of Ballykinler is set to close for resurfacing work later this month.

The Commons Road will be improved from its junction with Shore Road to immediately beyond the football ground. This scheme will also include upgrades to road drainage in the area.

These £135,000 works will begin on Monday 16 September and run until Friday 04 October.

During these times a daily weekday road closure will be in place between 8am and 6pm to facilitate the work.

A diversion will also be implemented via Commons Road / Ford Road and Blackstaff Road / Tyrella Road.

Drivers should expect some delays and are advised to leave additional time when planning any journeys.
