Locals in the Glendown Park area of Dublin are set to benefit from a new playspace.

The Glendown facility was opened last week as part of the 2014-2019 Playspace Programme.

This programme is responsible for delivering play facilities to children close to where they live across the county.

As with all of the new playspaces the use of plastics has been minimised and natural and locally sourced materials have been used where possible.

Since its launch, the playspace has proved very popular with young people using the equipment before and after school.
