Plans to build six new homes on a brownfield site in Kilkenny have been stalled as the council shifts its focus to a different project.
The Executive requested Kilkenny County councillors not to approve the proposal for homes at Smithsland South to allow the taking in charge of the existing Parcnagowan Estate to reach completion.
Despite the delay, Director of Services Mary Mulholland assured councillors the proposed development would begin again.
Smithsland South housing proposals will be placed on public display with full public consultation and a new planning process before Elected Members would be asked to consider the proposal again in the Council Chamber.
