A series of water main works is progressing well in the County Dublin town of Swords.

Irish Water has issued a warning over a potential disruption to water supply on Wednesday 27 November from 9am-4pm in Swords Manor, Park View, Abbeyvale, Ormond Estate, Valley View, Glassmore, Windmill Lane, Park Avenue and surrounding areas.

During these essential planned works homes and businesses in the affected areas may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following these improvement works water supply may take 2-3 hours to return as water refills the network.

This is part of a project to build over three kilometres of new water mains along the public road and the installation of new service connections from the new water main to each customer's property.

These works are being carried out as part of Irish Water's national Leakage Reduction Programme.
