Newtownabbey Park Wins Local Award

A popular park in Newtownabbey has been named North Belfast's favourite play area.

The V36 play park landed the award as part of Belfast Live's 'Belfast Loves' campaign following a public vote.

Speaking at the recent plaque presentation, the Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Alderman John Smyth, said: "This award is very special as it has been voted for by the people who use and love this park.

"All our parks and outdoor spaces across the Borough are very important to us and we are delighted to have V36 recognised in these awards.

"It is a truly outstanding facility and it is wonderful to see it bring joy and happiness to so many. Our thanks are extended to all who took the time to vote for it."
