The Royal Society of Ulster Architects has confirmed the return of its ask an architect initiative for 2020.

This programme sees architects across Northern Ireland volunteer their time to give professional advice to the public in return for a donation to help the fight against cancer.

Last year £12,000 was raised to clinical trials and cancer research in Northern Ireland, while also helping to increase awareness of the valuable role of architects to society.

RSUA is looking to build on the success of the programme in 2020.

The concept is simple. A chartered architect offers an hour-long consultation to a member of the public in return for a donation of £40 to charity. This year, practices are asked to commit to raising at least £120 for the charity.

All donations go to the Friends of the Cancer Centre through its partnership with the Jill Todd Trust.

Practices registered by 31 January 2020 will be guaranteed to be live on the ask an architect website in advance of its launch.
