Work is set to begin on a new storm sewer in Ballymena next week.
NI Water is leading the project, which will see the new structure built on the Larne Road Link, and within the Church Street 3 Car Park on Castle Street. It will involve laying approximately 100 metres of storm sewer and associated manholes to serve a new development.
BSG Civil Engineering will begin construction on Monday 17 February and work for three weeks.
A temporary lane closure will be in place on the Larne Road Link for the duration of the works. Vehicular access will be maintained for residents but may be subject to delay. Pedestrian access will be available at all times.
As the sewer is being laid through the Car Park on Castle Street, a section of the car park will be unavailable. During this time only one entrance/exit to the car park will be in use and temporary traffic management arrangement will be in place.
Normal working hours will be 8am to 5pm; however, it may be necessary on occasions for the work to be undertaken outside of these hours.
Works on the A26 Larne Link Road is restricted to 9.30am to 4pm to minimise traffic disruption as far as possible.
