A £100,000 street lighting scheme is set to bring a host of new LED lights to Castlewellan, Co Down.
Work will take place on Main Street to install 32 new street lighting columns.
The first phase of the scheme will begin on Monday 23 March and will run until Thursday 09 April. Work will cease for Easter from Thursday 09 April and will recommence on Monday 20 April with Phase 2, which will run until Monday 11 May.
During these times, traffic management will be in place between 9.30am-4pm and 6pm-10pm from Monday to Friday.
The public is being urged to comply with all temporary traffic restrictions and to drive with extra care when travelling in the vicinity of the works.
Announcing the works, Infrastructure Minister Mallon said: "I have made clear my commitment to address the issues which matter most to the people of Northern Ireland. Street lighting services are crucial in ensuring those driving, cycling and walking can do so safely within their communities.
"This investment provides new LED technology along Castlewellan Main Street. It is important that adequate street lighting not only improves the quality of lighting but is more energy efficient given my commitment to climate action."
