Co Armagh Town Set For Water Supply Upgrades

The County Armagh town of Lurgan is set to become the latest area to undergo a series of water supply infrastructure upgrades.

National utility NI Water is investing £5 million to improve the water supply infrastructure across Northern Ireland.

The business will begin work in Lurgan later this month with contractor Meridian Utilities, before moving on to the Portadown, Craigavon, Gilford, Tandragee and Scarva areas.

Work will be delivered during the next two years, improving approximately 29km of water mains in the region. These upgraded water mains will improve the quality, reliability and security of the local water supply, while reducing leakage and improving pressure in the area.
