Construction News Image
A programme of roadworks has been announced near the County Antrim village of Portglenone.

Townhill Road, situated north of the village, will be subject to a £370,000 improvement scheme, starting on Monday 30 March.

The route will be resurfaced from Tamlagh Cross Roads towards Portglenone for approximately 1.9km. Work is expected to be complete by Friday 29 May.

The Department for Infrastructure is moving with the project in this unprecedented time as part of a commitment to continue operating as along as possible.

Weekday road closures will be implemented between the hours of 7am and 6pm during the project, excluding the Easter holiday period from Monday 13 April until Friday 17 April.

During the road closure, a signed diversion will be in operation via Dreen Road, Lisnahunshin Road and Hiltonstown Road (and vice versa).

Those travelling in the area have been advised to expect delays and allow additional time for journeys.
