Etag Announces New Senior Management Team

Construction News Image
Etag has announced a new senior management team to reinforce its position as a leading fixings and construction materials supplier.

The new management structure will focus on the internal structure of the company, making daily operations more streamlined and efficient for customers and the Etag team alike. Specialising in fixings, insulation, mechanical and electrical containment, interiors and general building supplies, the new management team are looking forward to bringing the company forward to the next level.

Shirley Bowman will be moving into the role of Managing Director of Etag Fixings Ireland and Etag Fixings UK. Shirley began with Etag in 2005 as Office Manager. Her organisational skills have been invaluable to Etag over the years. She re-located to London in 2011 to help establish Etag UK, where it has grown rapidly. In 2018, she became Group General Manager. She said: "The last five months have been tough for everyone including the construction industry in general, however, it has adapted hugely for the safety of all. At Etag, we have shown that we can quickly source materials and innovative products for our customers. Over the coming years, we would like to continue strengthening relationships with our suppliers and source products that can change and enhance the construction industry."

Shaun Bonner will now step into the role of Group Sales Director, leading two dynamic sales teams in Ireland and the UK. "Sales have continued to grow year on year for us, even with lockdown, Etag are still on course to hit our 2020 targets," said Mr Bonner. "Etag will intensify its interests in M&E support, containment and modular fabrication, whilst continuing to excel in drylining, façade and building materials supply."

Etag began from the knowledge and experience of Paul Bonner and Damien Lynch over 15 years ago. "Over the years, we have expanded our product range from just fixings to having five main product divisions based on the needs of our customers," stated Mr Bonner.

"Last year, we celebrated 15 years in business," Mr Lynch said. "Paul and I are proud of what we have achieved over the years with Etag. Steering the company through the recession was hard but it showed what Etag is best at, flexibility, innovation and team spirit. We continually work with our customers, investigating what they require and then sourcing it for the right price. Now is the right time to step back but continue to guide Etag into its next stage of growth."
