Work has started to improve and enhance a play park in Artigarvan, Strabane.
The work will include the addition of a new groundflush roundabout, zipline and basket swing.
It is one of four village renewal projects to take place, alongside Ardstraw, Drumahoe and Donemana.
The play park will remain closed to the public due to the upgrade work, which is scheduled to be complete in two months.
The combined cost of the four projects is £200,000 and it is being delivered by Derry City and Strabane District Council with support from funding allocated by Derry and Strabane Rural Partnership under Priority 6 (LEADER) of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.
The project is in line with Council's Green Infrastructure Plan, which focuses on utilising natural spaces to provide environmental, economic and social benefits for communities.
Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Brian Tierney, said:
"After seeing the great work that has been done in Ardstraw as the first of these four village renewal projects, I am delighted to be here as work gets underway in Artigarvan on upgrades to the play facility that will benefit the whole community.
"The plans look really good and it again highlights the commitment that we have as a council to play provision and to green infrastructure across our villages and communities.
"I'm looking forward to seeing the final product, which I'm sure will be enjoyed by all in Artigarvan."
