New Chairperson Designate Of The Board Of ESB Appointed

Mr Terence O'Rourke has been appointed as the new Chairperson Designate of the Board of ESB.

His appointment is for a period of five years.

Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, Eamon Ryan TD, said: "I am delighted to appoint Mr O’Rourke as Chairperson of ESB. The Programme for Government commits us to reducing our overall greenhouse gas emissions by more than half by the end of this decade and ESB will play an important role in helping the country reach that goal. I look forward to working with Mr. O’Rourke as the ESB continues to take a leadership role in addressing the decarbonisation challenge and meeting our climate targets."
