Chadwicks Launches New Podcast Series For Tradespeople

Irish builders' merchants Chadwicks Group has launched a new podcast series for tradespeople.

'Under Construction with Chadwicks' is hosted by Aidan Power and comedian Fred Cooke and each episode will feature trade secrets, industry trends, unmissable competitions and quick-wit banter.

Throughout the 10-episode series, Aidan and Fred will be joined by Chadwicks experts, master tradespeople and special guests each week, to discuss a variety of construction-specific topics. From sustainable building projects, the latest innovations in building materials and tool-kit necessities, each 30-minute episode will be curated for tradespeople who are looking to brush up on the latest trends in Ireland and abroad, and squeeze in a laugh on their tea break or while on the road to their next job.

In the first episode of the series, Fred and Aidan are joined by Chadwicks Category Director and trade expert, Pat Moore to discuss the biggest industry trends that are currently facing the sector and how Ireland is responding to ongoing supply shortages. Pat also highlights Chadwicks’ newest outdoor living brochure, packed with information on the must-have products and materials for creating the ultimate outdoor area space this summer season. Chadwicks ambassador, Dave Moore also joins episode one to talk about his own DIY achievements during the lockdown and describes his experience with creating a custom-built pergola using composite decking with Chadwicks' range of outdoor materials.

Tara Brennan, Head of Marketing and Development for Chadwicks Group, said: "We are delighted to announce the launch of our new podcast series for the trade. While there are lots of podcasts out there, there are very few dedicated to the construction industry in Ireland. The aim of this podcast series is to provide the trade with helpful hints and tips as well as the latest industry trends at home and abroad and of course, have a few laughs along the way! Each episode is half an hour and the format means that tradespeople can listen at a time that suits them making it really accessible. The first episode is now currently available on Spotify, iTunes and Google."

Co-host Aidan said: "I am excited to finally reveal that I will be one of the new co-hosts of Under Construction with Chadwicks. This series is particularly exciting because it brings something completely new to podcasting in Ireland. Listeners can expect a mix of humour and entertainment as well as some interesting topics about the Irish trade industry. Alongside the brilliant Fred Cooke we will be speaking to a host of fantastic personalities during the series and we look forward to getting their opinions on what’s in store for the market in the coming years. I’m thrilled to be starting this journey alongside the team at Chadwicks and look forward to hearing what the listeners think too!"

The first episode of Under Construction with Chadwicks is available on all major streaming services as well as Chadwicks.ie/podcast.
