The Ulster Farmers' Union (UFU) is asking members to submit an online response to help address the Climate Change Private Member's Bill (PMB) that is currently progressing through a scrutiny stage in the Northern Ireland (NI) Assembly.
Unless the PMB is changed it could have very damaging consequences for the NI agri-food sector and rural communities therefore it is important that members submit a response and raise these genuine concerns with MLAs.
The Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (AERA) Committee at the Assembly have opened a call for written evidence and are collecting responses through an online survey which can be found at consultations.nidirect.gov.uk/northern-ireland-assembly/climate-change-bill/.
The deadline for responses is 15 July 2021.
