Waterford Social Housing Scheme Progresses

Work to develop 16 new social housing properties in County Waterford is on track for completion early next year.

The development in Kilmacthomas is progressing well and, when complete, will be known as Port na Machan.

The project is funded by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage under the Rebuilding Ireland programme.

Anton Lennon, Executive Engineer with Waterford City and County Council, said: "Works on the development have been progressing well and we are looking at completion early in January 2022. This will provide accommodation for 16 household in a unique setting in Kilmacthomas village."

John Somers Construction is the main contractor on the project and the design team is led by CJ Falconer & Associates.
